Eagles cut roster to 53; keep Cody Parkey at kicker, Casey Matthews at ILB
The Eagles waived 19 players and placed two on injured reserve Saturday. Among the notable cuts were fifth-round safety Ed Reynolds, kicker Alex Henery, defensive lineman Damion Square, running back Matthew Tucker, wide receiver Damaris Johnson, and running back Kenjon Barner.
Barner was waived/injury. Arrelious Benn and Travis Long were placed on injured reserve.
Jeff Maehl made the team as the sixth wide receiver, Casey Matthews made the team as the ninth linebacker, and Trey Burton made the team as the fourth tight end. Cody Parkey is the kicker, as expected.
Lane Johnson will be placed on the reserve/suspended list.
