Domo's latest NFL rankings

The Daily News' Paul Domowitch offers his NFL power rankings after Week 1.

NFL power rankings for Sept. 15:

*Number in parenthesis was team's ranking heading into training camp.

1. Packers 1-0 (2)

Jordy Nelson's absence doesn't seem to be hampering Aaron Rodgers' ability to complete passes and score points.

2. Cardinals 1-0 (3)

Carson Palmer celebrated his ACL comeback with a 3-TD performance v. Saints. He's 14-2 in his last 16 starts.

3. Seahawks 0-1 (1)

Hey, Kam. We've rethought our position on that additional guaranteed money you want. C'mon in. Love, Pete.

4. Patriots 1-0 (5)

After his team's win over the Steelers, Bill Belichick gave game balls to all of Tom Brady's lawyers.

5. Bengals 1-0 (8)

Bengals defense held Raiders to 16 first downs and 246 yards. Then again, it was the Raiders.

6. Cowboys 1-0 (9)

DeMarco Murray's RB replacements rushed for just 81 yards against the Giants.

7. Broncos 1-0 (7)

For the third time in his last 5 regular-season starts, Peyton Manning failed to throw a touchdown pass.

8. Chiefs 1-0 (12)

Alex Smith threw 3 TD passes, none to a wide receiver.

9. Dolphins 1-0 (13)

Dolphins had the ball for just 22 minutes against the Redskins.

10. Rams 1-0 (14)

Nick Foles earned some real street cred by helping his new team upset the defending NFC-champion Seahawks.

11. Ravens 0-1 (4)

The Ravens' Super Bowl hopes suffered a major blow when Terrell Suggs ruptured his Achilles again.

12. Eagles 0-1 (10)

Eagles' rebuilt secondary gave up five pass plays of 20-plus yards in the loss to the Falcons.

13. Bills 1-0 (17)

Who knew Tyrod Taylor could play? He had a 73.6 completion percentage and a 123.8 passer rating against the Colts.

14. Colts 0-1 (6)

Colts got a grand total of 55 offensive yards from free agent acquisitions Frank Gore and Andre Johnson.

15. Chargers 1-0 (16)

Philip Rivers completed 83.3 percent of his attempts in the Chargers' Week 1 win over Detroit.

16. Steelers 0-1 (15)

Since the start of last season, the Steelers have given up 34 touchdown passes and have just 11 interceptions.

17. Falcons 1-0 (24)

Kyle Shanahan's offense looked awfully good on Matt Ryan Monday night.

18. Panthers 1-0 (22)

Life without Kelvin Benjamin is going to be challenging for Cam Newton.

19. Lions 0-1 (18)

Lions, who finished second in total defense last season, gave up 483 yards in loss to the Chargers.

20. Jets 1-0 (27)

Geno Smith's broken jaw might just turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to the Jets.

21. 49ers 1-0 (28)

If anybody deserved a season-opening win, it was Niners coach Jim Tomsula, who has dealt with non-stop bad news since replacing Jim Harbaugh.

22. Vikings 0-1 (11)

Adrian Peterson's long-awaited return was a major disappointment.

23. Titans 1-0 (30)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Titans did the right thing hanging on to that pick they used on Marcus Mariota

24. Texans 0-1 (21)

If Christian Hackenberg is on the board when the Texans are picking in the first round next spring, you can damn well bet Bill O'Brien will take him.

25. Saints 0-1 (19)

Sean Payton and GM Mickey Loomis are dead men walking thanks to a string of bad personnel decisions and major cap mismanagement.

26. Giants 0-1 (23)

Giants' pass rush didn't produce a single sack of Tony Romo.

27. Bears 0-1 (32)

The bad news is Jay Cutler completed just 50 percent of his passes in the Bears' loss to the Packers. The worse news is he still has five years left on his contract.

28. Redskins 0-1 (29)

I hear Jessica McClouhan will be picking the Redskins' starting quarterback this week.

29. Jaguars 0-1 (20)

After a promising preseason, Blake Bortles threw 2 interceptions and was sacked 5 times in Week 1 loss to Carolina

30. Raiders 0-1 (25)

Raiders averaged just 4.0 yards per offensive play in 20-point loss to the Bengals.

31. Browns 0-1 (26)

Josh McCown? Johnny Manziel? Does it really matter?

32. Bucs 0-1 (31)

Lovie Smith heads into Week 2 as the clear frontrunner to be the first head coach canned in 2015.
