According to Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports, the Miami Dolphins are seeing what they can get in return in a trade for former Oregon OLB Dion Jordan.

Jordan of course played under Chip Kelly at Oregon, and there are debates as to whether the Eagles would have preferred Jordan or Lane Johnson in the 2013 draft, if given the choice between the two players. But the Dolphins traded up ahead of the Eagles, grabbed Jordan at the 3rd overall spot, and the Eagles moved forward with Johnson.

It's obvious to speculate that the Eagles would have interest in Jordan, if the Dolphins are truly motivated to move him. However, Mike Garafolo of USA Today noted that the Dolphins have told Jordan that he won't be traded.

The Dolphins used their top two picks to acquire Jordan last offseason, and they've already paid him a hefty signing bonus. Additionally, if the Dolphins traded Jordan, they would receive a severe cap hit in 2014. For the Dolphins to be willing to walk away from a player with whom they've already expended those kinds of resources, you can be absolutely certain that they would want serious draft pick compensation in return.

Trading Jordan doesn't really pass the smell test from the Dolphins' perspective, unless they were to receive a very good package of picks and/or players in return. In such a deep and talented draft class, Jordan may not be worth a heavy investment, but I'd bet Howie Roseman and Chip Kelly would at least listen to what the Dolphins have in mind. The Eagles do have a a pair of potential trade chips in Brandon Graham and Vinny Curry, who are both talented players in need of a scheme that better fits their skill sets... and Miami would fit that bill.
