Chip Kelly a No. 4 seed in S.I. bracket for next Texas head coach

Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, along with a host of others; have been linked to the University of Texas head-coaching job.

The Campus Union blog over on Sports Illustrated's website has decided to take it upon themselves to help Texas make its decision in the most American way possible — a bracket.

The blog has put together a 32-man bracket where each potential candidate will go head-to-head and the winner is decided by a weekly fan vote.

The bracket is split into four divisions: the Pawwwwwl Division, the Bevo Over Everything Division, the Ain't Played Nobody Division and the West is Best Except for Texas Division.

Kelly drew the No. 4 seed in the Bevo Over Everything Division and will go up against the division's the fifth-seeded Pete Carroll, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. The winner of that matchup will face the winner of top-seeded Jon Gruden versus eighth-seeded Greg Schiano, head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The No. 1 seeds are Alabama head coach Nick Saban (despite him re-signing with Alabama) in the Pawwwwwl Division, Louisville head coach Charlie Strong in the Ain't Played Nobody Division and Stanford head coach David Shaw in the West is Best Except for Texas Division.

Also in the bracket is Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien, who also drew a four seed in the Ain't Played Nobody Division. He will go up against fifth-seeded Dabo Swinney, head coach of the Clemson Tigers.

Voting in the bracket will begin Friday at noon in case any Eagles fans want to take part.
