Former Temple coach Wayne Hardin was voted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Former Temple coach Wayne Hardin was voted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Hardin coached at Navy from 1959-64 and Temple from 1970-82. He is Owls' all-time wins leader (80). He led Temple in 1979 to a No. 17 ranking in the final AP poll, a 10-2 record and Garden State Bowl victory.

Ron Dayne is the other member of the 2013 HOF class with local ties. The former Wisconsin running back was a standout football and track athlete at Overbrook High School in South Jersey. Dayne won the 1999 Heisman Trophy while at Wisconsin.
