Men's basketball non-conference schedule released

Temple’s non-conference schedule was released earlier today and it is full of heavy hitters such as Duke and Kansas.

Temple’s non-conference schedule was released earlier today and it is full of heavy hitters such as Duke and Kansas.

“This is a tremendous schedule full of high-caliber opponents,” Temple coach Fran Dunphy said. “We are looking forward to the challenges this season presents.

The owls host the Jayhawks at Wells Fargo Center on Dec. 22. They will face the Blue Devils on Nov. 21 at the Barclays Center in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. They’ll also face either Stanford or UNLV in the tournament as well.

The Owls will also host non-conference opponents American University (Nov. 14) and three days later host Louisiana Tech (Nov. 17). They’ll also host Penn (Nov. 25), LIU Brooklyn (Nov. 30), Towson (Dec. 10) and Delaware State (Dec. 28 or 29), all at the Liacouras Center.

The owls host Big 5 rival Penn at the Liacouras Center (Nov. 25) and closes the month with a Nov 30 date with LIU Brooklyn. The following months the owls will host Towson (Dec. 10) and Delaware State (Dec. 28 or 29) at the Liacouras Center.

Non-conference road games include St. Joe’s (Dec. 3), Villanova (Dec. 14), and Delaware (Dec. 18). The Owls will face La Salle at the Palestra on Dec. 6 in Big 5 matchup.
