Lights, camera, twinkle! We had a blast shooting our models at Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelers in Marlton, New Jersey for our two part series on what the Emmy stars will be wearing at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sept 13th.
The gems rocked the house. Harvey Rovinsky of Bernie Robbins explained the three trends this season: rose cut and vintage inspired diamonds, colored gems in cabochon settings and big statement pieces, like big diamond and gold cuffs and diamond necklaces by the yard. Uh huh..!
Diamonds and jewels need big gowns that can carry them. The gowns were splendid. Nicole Miller's (www.nicolemiller.com) creations were perfection with iridescent fabrics and fine detailing which sparkled with the gemstones.
Kate Cipriano and Nicole of Touch of Blush (www.touchofblush.net) skillfully applied the makeup, making the models’ skin appear like alabaster, which set off the jewels stunningly.
The models were lovely and diverse. Jane Teng from the Reinhard Agency is also studying to be an Osteopathic doctor in Philadelphia. Christina Kraft is a gorgeous gal who we met on the streets during one of our Glow on the Go roving camera sessions. We had to nab her for this photo shoot. And the current Miss Delaware, Kate Banaszak didn't even grimace when we applied the torturous hair fan to her (and she was also patient when I fussed with her necklace). Michelle Kalev was a model found by Cashman and Associates and happens to work for them too.
Check out our two part series, the first airing Monday, Sept. 7th and the next on Monday, Sept. 14th!
Viva la Jewels!
