Who will it be for the head coaching position

It is down to three in the sixers search for the next head coach

Who will it be for the head coaching position

Seven have been interviewed and three remain standing. Either Doug Collins, Avery Johnson or Sam Mitchell will be the next head coach of the 76ers. Does that excite you? It means Bill Laimbeer, Dan Majerle, Monty Williams and Elston Turner are no longer in the picture.

So the big question is: are you satisfied with any of the three or all of them? Collins has seen and done just about everything in the NBA; Johnson is the task-master who won a lot (74 percent of his 264 games in three-plus seasons in Dallas) but might rub some people the wrong way; and Mitchell was a coach of the year in Toronto in 2007.

Ping pong balls will be watched with great interest tonight in Secaucus, N.J. by Sixers fans as it will determine where the team will choose in next month's draft.

Is the coaching search drawing as much interest?
