Warriors a dangerous foe for Sixers

The Sixers face the dangerous Golden State Warriors tonight. Dangerous, you might ask? Well, any team that has three players who have combined to hit 340 three pointers is a dangerous team. The Warriors can score with anyone, so this might be one of those fun up and down games. The last time the two teams met in Oakland back in December, that was the case with the Warriors winning 110-95.

For the first time this season, the Sixers have a chance to get to two games above .500, but to do that they'll need to:

*Play defense from the outside in: Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry and Dorell Wright are the three outside strikers for the Warriors. If the Sixers can keep them intact, there's not much inside that the Warriors possess that can hurt the Sixers.

*Keep David Lee off the boards. Lee gets close to 10 rebounds per game, but after that Golden State is really weak on the backboards. If the Sixers can win this battle they can get out and run and limit the Warriors' outside shooting.

*Get on Golden State early. The Warriors have lost five of six and are playing their fifth of seven-staight road games. That's a tough stretch. There is nothing more depleting to a team than getting behind big early in the middle of a long road stretch.

*Get points from the guards. Long shots, which Golden State loves, often means long rebounds which leads to fast breaks which should lead to many scoring opportunities for Jrue Holiday, Jodie Meeks, Evan Turner and Lou Williams.
