The 76ers got the call a little before 2 p.m. They fell short in their attempt to add unrestricted free agent Hakim Warrick to their roster.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed that the 6-9 Warrick, a onetime star at Friends Central, has agreed to the terms of a one-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Warrick, via agent Bill Duffy, is believed to have accepted a deal worth $3 million, even though the Sixers supposedly offered slightly more, dipping in to a portion of their $5.8 million mid-level exception.

The source said that Warrick, who spent the previous four seasons of his NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies, saw a better opportunity for playing time with the Bucks. Warrick was listed with a salary of $2,119,102 last season when he averaged 11.6 points and 5 rebounds

Marco Bellinelli was traded by GSW, but was a perfect fit for the 6ers since a year ago, and mgmt. has blown another opp to make WILLYBOY history.

He's a good, athletic player, but the 76ers need out shooters.

No one decent wants to play for the Sixers. Stefanski doesnt know what hes doing and E. Jordan is a mediocre coach at best.

Phil...Can you please start covering baseball or football? Your talents are wasted covering a team that no one cares about anymore. It's really sad.

Anyone want to play here (besides a guy who goes back on a handshake deal with his coach and free agent best friend)???? Didn't think so. Go back to bed everyone.

I'd like to know who the guards are going to be for this team. You know, if I actually cared. -Seacrest Out-

We shouldn't have been targeting Warrick anyway. Does this team's management have a clue? We need a veteran PG to play spot minutes next to Lou & Jrue. We need a 7'0 center who can play a few minutes behind Sam & Smith. We also need a 2 guard who can hit a 3 pt. shot. This team sucks. I will not be purchasing tickets to any of their games, until I see that we're making moves that either put us in a position to contend or at least give us cap space to trade for a star.
