Stefanski says Sixers 'very active' in trade talks

Sixers president and general manager Ed Stefanski said the team is "very active" when it comes to the trade market in advance of the Feb. 18 trading deadline.

"We're talking to teams throughout the league," he said. "We're listening to any option to try and improve the basketball team . . . With the record we have right now, we obviously have to listen to everything.''

Nothing appears to be imminent, a source said.

Stefanski would not address specific trade rumors. Among those rumors is a prospective deal linking Andre Igoudala to the Houston Rockets.

Even understanding ''95 percent of it is just rumors,'' Igoudala said, ''I think the most important thing is, wherever you are at that moment in time, you still have to (put) 100 percent of your time and focus into the job you have.

"You can't be surprised (if something happens). Definitely, being in the state we're in (15-30); we haven't won too many games. Definitely, I wouldn't be surprised (if he were involved in a deal), but at the same time, this is where I've been my whole career. I just go out there and try to get better, not just for myself, but for the team, every game.''

Still . . .

''In order to grow as a person, I have to deal with the bad times as well as the good times,'' he said. ''Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It's a tough road we've been going through right now. You've got to fight through it. That's what I'm trying to do. Until that next move comes, if it happens, or if I'm here.''
