The Sixers provided an update on injured forward Elton Brand, who has been sidelined following shoulder surgery:

"Elton Brand had his four week post-operative examination today by Dr. Craig Morgan in Wilmington, Delaware.

Dr. Morgan reports that Brand is no longer required to wear his sling and his rehabilitation will now include more active exercises and gentle, passive range of motion exercises.

Brand will be re-evaluated in two weeks and updates will be distributed accordingly."

Brand played in 29 games for the Sixers before surgery Feb. 9 to repair the torn labrum in his right shoulder.

If healthy next year, he'll be great for Sixers!

KG does make a point. There is no doubt that regardless of wear and tear, at some point age takes over. Too bad for the team if that happens.

Yeah look at Andre Miller for example. His stats are horrible...oh wait they are the best in his career. You shouldn`t be allowed to comment on this sight unless you know what you are talking about. And regardless, even if his age is going to affect him, that just means he`s more likely to play better team basketball rather than thinking he has to be the focal point of the team. I think the more he practices with the team, the better they will play together (naturally). He will learn not to clog the lanes, he will be there more for a defensive and rebounding threat rather than a scoring threat, and with his achilles tendon being fully healed (note: I am arguing it was not fully healed this season, slowing him down) he will play better to the sixers tempo. Case and point: ya`ll suck at analyzing basketball.

He's still a great player but in the wrong offense. The sixers never jelled with him in their uptempo offense. Hopefully he'll look good coming back and we can trade him for a more athletic power forward.

Sixers are destined to mediocrity for the next few years because of the Brand contract and the fact that they don't have a supestar.

Everybody is going to be a year better. Speights, Williams, & Young. Jason Smith is going to suprise you. Hopefully Andre Miller comes back, so that the other Andre can continue to flourish. Elton Brand will realize early in camp the reason Stefanski wouldn't give up any of the good young talent. The Sixers are gioing to be very good next year. Honest. They'll also be very competitive in the playoffs this year. They're better than most people think.

Can someone please fill us in on why Phil Jasner has been out for like a month? Is he okay? It looks like we've got a new beat writer today.
