The Sixers have signed free-agent forward Rashad Jones-Jennings, bringing the training camp roster to 18 players.
Jones-Jennings (6-8, 230) went undrafted out of Arkansas-Little Rock in 2007 after leading the nation in rebounding.
He competed for the Sixers in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas in 2007.
Last season, Jones-Jennings played for FC Bayern München ,of the German League, averaging 8.1 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

The Sixers will return to the Wachovia Spectrum for a free open practice session on Saturday, Oct. 10, Comcast-Spectacor announced this morning.
The session is scheduled for 11 a.m. No tickets are required and the doors open at 10 a.m.
“With October being the final month of the Spectrum and the excitement the team generated last season with their special Return to the Spectrum game, we felt it was important for the fans to be able to celebrate the many wonderful memories of the Spectrum with the Sixers one more time,” Comcast-Spectacor president Peter Luukko said in a statement.
The open practice features warmup drills, shooting practice, and an intersquad scrimmage. Assistant coach Mike O’Koren will wear a microphone and describe the action to the fans as it’s happening and forward Andre Iguodola will welcome the fans with a special pre-practice opening announcement.
The practice coincides with individual game tickets going on sale, beginning at 10 a.m. that day
The Sixers open the 2009-10 home portion of their schedule on Friday, October 30, when they host the Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m.
Why didn't they find more uses for the Spectrum before they decided to tear it down? It was a great venue of for games. Is tearing it down progress or greed?— 76er- If they want to bring back "that special feeling" bring back the 1982-83 uniforms and have training camp at Franklin & Marshall. - I agree 76er.....tearing it down is simply greed. The Spectrum still makes plenty of money but they can tear it down and put up a gaudy monstrosity and make even more money. Taking a family of 4 to a Phantoms game at the Spectrum cost under $50. Get similar seats for a Flyers game and you are spending over $400, which frankly is personally insulting. You think prices are bad now what until this Philly Live thing is built. They say how nice it will be yet they have no comment on prices. Hot Dog and soda will probably be like $18 by then.— admin
- Yeah somewhere about 50 wins, seems right to me. But I was thinking about the teams ahead of them, Cleveland, Orlando and Boston. Boston didn't do anything except lose some role players and hope KG comes back. Allen and Pierce looked old last season. Orlando lost Hedo and got VC, that's a step backwards, IMO. Cleveland got Shaq, who is old and slow. The Sixers are more athletic than any of these teams and most of the matchups favor them. They could surprise to the upside if Elton returns to his old form, Iggy and Thad continue to improve and the new additions can spread the floor with outside shots. With Lou at the 1 the Sixers should be better on defense, than with slow-foot Miller.— ricky
- It is greed 76er....that is why the are tearing it down. Take a family of 4 and spend $50 for a Phantoms game....do the same with a Flyers game and spend over $400.....that is insulting. Somewhere around 35-45 wins this season. May be good enough for the 7th or 8th seed. Celtics added Rasheed Wallace who maybe motivated again. Orlando got a little more athletic on the offensive side of the ball. Cleveland won 66 games last season and don't look to slow down. Wizards have everyone back healthy. Jersey is a little better and the Sixers still have to go West, where they may be better than only a handful of teams.— bigcityballer- I pee in my pants every time i read about the sixers adding another player. - The sixers are not a legit contender, lets be serious. They "might" steal a 7th or 8th seed, only because the East has a couple contenders and ton of mediocre/junk teams, and get wrecked by the Cavs, Celtics, or Magic in the first round. Thats all we have to shoot for.— CharlestheHammer
