Sixers in New Jersey tonight to face the Nets

Winners of four of five, the Sixers look to keep their winning ways as they face a Nets team that has been tough at home of late.

If the Sixers are going to make a move for this playoff hunt thing, and if they really want to get higher than one of the bottom two seeds, then games like tonight's against the Nets are must-wins.

The Sixers have been playing very well of late, winners of four of their last five. The lone loss, of course, was a crushing collapse Friday night to the Memphis Grizzlies when they squandered a 21 point lead late in the third quarter. They will be looking for their seventh-straight win over the Nets tonight.

Here are some keys for the Sixers tonight:

*Contain Nets center Brook Lopez. In his first four games of lsst month, Lopez averaged only 11 points. Since then, he's been on a tear, going for an average of 24.7. He always hurts the Sixers wilth his scoring, averaging 19.3 in his last six games against the Sixers.

*Get Jrue Holiday going. Holiday has been one of the key reasons the Sixers have taken the first two games against New Jersey. In the last win he posted 20 points and 13 assists. Holiday has been slumping of late, scoring less than 10 points in three of the past five games. Over his past nine games he's making just 37.7 percent of his field goals.

*Keep the course on the defensive end. In the two wins this season the Sixers have held New Jersey to just 81.5 points and 37.4 percent shooting.
