Sixers face the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Wells Fargo Center tonight

The Sixers play the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third time this season tonight at the Wells Fargo Center

If there is a team in the NBA the Sixers are familiar with so far this season it is the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two teams have already faced off twice this season, with Cleveland winning both.

The Sixers will be looking for their fourth win in five games and fifth in a row at home.

Here are some keys for the Sixers tonight.

*Stop Anderson Varejao. It might sound a little silly, but Varejoa has been a killer this season against the Sixers, making 14-of-15 shots against them.

*Get the lead early and keep the Cavs down. Cleveland has lost four in a row by an average of 22.8 points. Should the Sixers get the Cavs down early, you wonder how much interest they'll have in coming back.

*Get continued strong play from starting guard Jodie Meeks. To expect 20 points in a quarter, as he did against the Bobcats on Saturday night, might be a little far-fetched. But this team is so much better offensively with Meeks spotting up and getting open looks out on the break.

*Continued strong effort on the defensive end. The Sixers recent winning ways have come about because of a defense that has allowed just 87.3 points and 40.6 percent shooting in the past four games. Also, in their six wins this season, the Sixers have allowed just 84.3 points.
