Sixers face the Charlotte Bobcats today

Sixers look to grab their second straight win against the Charlotte Bobcats.

If the Sixers are going to start feeling good about a possible playoff position, this game today against the Charlotte Bobcats is the type of game they must win.

They'll have to do it, however, without forward Andres Nocioni, who is out for the game with a fractured middle finger on his right hand. Nocioni is officially listed as day to day.

Here are some keys for the Sixers in today's game against the Bobcats.

*Contain point guard D.J. Augustin. In the 10 games that Paul Silas has been the head coach of the Bobcats, no one has prospered more than Augustin, who is averaging 19 points, seven assists and just 1.6 turnovers. Small, quick point guards have been thorns in the Sixers sides at tiimes this season.

*Attack center Kwame Brown. Sixers center Spencer Hawes hasn't been exacting lighting things up offensively. He would seem to have an advantage over Brown and getting a nice offensive game from him would be a big lift.

*Get production from the backcourt. This can be written just about every time the Sixers play. They are just such a better team when they get points from Jodie Meeks, Jrue Holiday and Lou Williams. It makes it so much easier for Thad Young, Evan Turner and Andre Iguodala to get to the basket when the guards are producing.
