Sixers center Spencer Hawes out with back strain

POSTED: Monday, January 3, 2011, 7:28 PM

Just found out that Sixers starting center Spencer Hawes will be out for tonight's game after he strained his back during pregame warmups. Marreese Speights will take his place. It is not the same injury that sidelined Hawes during the preseason.

It is so depressing to watch this team tonight. When Meeks is playing, it is like 4 against 5. He stand there and no one ever passes to him; they do not even appear to look to see if he is open. It only makes it worst when Willie Green scores on him at will. And why is it that our players coome on the screens and the guy pounding the ball out front never even passes it to the open cutter. Why not?? If I was the coach, I would pull the guy out for missing so many passes -- I am talking about Turner -- and his jump shot is starting to look like Iggy's.
