As we have reported previously, the coaching staff for new Sixers coach Eddie Jordan will include Mike O'Koren, Aaron McKie and Jim Lynam. The Sixers officially announced the staff today.

O'Koren will carry the title of associate coach, with McKie and Lynam listed as assistant coaches.

McKie and Lynam are holdovers from last season under Maurice Cheeks/Tony DiLeo.

“I am excited to be joined on the bench by three coaches with a wealth of basketball knowledge and for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect,” Jordan said. “My staff has a common vision for this team and how we will play, and I truly look forward to working with them to achieve our goals.”

No shooting coach either?

the sixers could bring in James, Bryant, Howard, Paul, and Bosh, and you would still be losers and have something stupid to say. Go back to your minimum wage job in Frankford and continue to strive for your GED.

It's amazing how they bring in a new coach and he has to use the old coaching staff. Jimmy Lynam must have pictures of Ed S. in some compromising positions.

19 year old guard that we drafted = Mckies new project. I think he is a solid bench coach that knows how to defend well. Hopefully he can train Holiday and Christmas. I just hope Mckieleaves his guns at home.

Wow! This is almost as exciting as the Sixers changing their logo. They stink! Jrue Holiday is Louis Williams and never one can play. Get rid of Stefanski and DiLeo.

With every new change we can only hope the Sixers will start to be more than mediocre. But that won't happen until the Sixers want to be more than a mediocre. The only Sixer that tries to do whatever he can to win every game is Andre Miller. Most of the rest, especially Andre Iguodala, just seem to be content with winning some of the time and saying they almost won. They have players who on an ongoing basis will regularly go into shooting slumps. They are a team that can beat anybody and a team that will lose to anybody. Chicago and Atlanta were rebuilding their teams just a few years ago and are already better than Philadelphia. It is not a lack of talent or experience on the part of the Sixers but a lack of desire, something that frankly has plagued the Sixers most of the time for decades. They had it once in 1983 and then lost it the next year. They have lots of talent except in the obvious area of 3 point shooting and that is the fault of management for thinking they didn't need it. The team is loaded with dunkers but few pure shooters. The player I would trade in a heartbeat is Iguodala. He's a nice guy and does have talent but I think he will never become a great player because he lacks the desire to win and even be in the spotlight. His shooting seems to be little more than throwing the ball up and hope it goes in. Take away the slam-dunks and his shooting percentage drops way off. I have only ever seen him make a game-winning shot once in his entire career. I cringe every time he is given the ball at the end of a game knowing that he will almost certainly miss it. Trade away the players like Iguodala who lack the drive. The drive to win is contagious. So is lack of it. While no team can win titles on desire alone no team wins titles without it. And it starts with management and coaching.

This blog should be renamed to "LOSERville", because that's where the Sixers are, and will remain so, for the next FOUR years. I am Oppressed.
