Sixers injury updates

With the long-awaited and much-anticipated home opener on tap for Friday night against Detroit, the Sixers are dealing with two injuries after the first five games.

Forward Thaddeus Young sprained two fingers on his non-shooting hand during Wednesday's win over New Orleans. Coach Doug Collins said Young is probable for Friday's game.

Rookie first-rounder Nikola Vucevic is day-to-day with a lower back strain. He was injured in warmups before the Hornets game and was a late scratch.

Vucevic was out on the court doing his normal workout with teammates and assistant coaches about 2 and a half hours prior to the game and seemed fine. Later, though, about an hour before the game, he gingerly walked into the locker room behind head trainer Jesse Wright.
