Scout disses Sixers in Sports Illustrated

Rare to open Sports Illustrated and see something on the Sixers, but it's there this week. On the "Inside the NBA" page, Chris Mannix has a small item in which he quotes an unnamed Western Conference scout talking about the Sixers. Here it is:
"They are having dunk contests before games; they are running plays sloppily or not all the way through; and they aren't listening to (coach) Eddie Jordan. They have quit. They know Eddie is gone (after the season) and they think they don't have to listen anymore. The thing is, they are making themselves look like a-------. These guys think that just because Eddie is gone they will be back (next year). But nobody wants guys who give up when things go bad. Eddie's offense was a bad fit for this roster - they have to find a way to play more up-tempo - but these guys are embarrassing themselves. And everyone around the league knows it."
There you have it. Thoughts?

Should have gotten rid of Iguodala when we could have before the deadline. A decent player but not a winner or someone who can get us there. No accountability with him or the team. Always someone else's fault. Wake up Comcast and clear them all out starting with Snider. Ballgame
Thoughts? I don't even think about the Sixers. Phront_Runner- The only team in this city that wants to win are the Phillies.
The only difference between Igoudala and McNabb is Igoudala hasn't thrown up on the court.......yet. riles1875
does anybody real care about the NBA? hawk16
Holiday and Lou Williams are the only thing worth watching this year. Lou's distributing a bit more, Holiday looks like he's finally finding his outside shot, every other player has regressed, maybe except Dalembert phasor- Same thoughts as ever. Eddie Jordan was an obviously bad hire from day one and whoever was assoicated with that decision should be fired. pgcd3
- Leegles is dead on - Iguodala is in his 6th year here and is one of the leaders. If they're acting like this on his watch, he should have been traded before the deadline. I'll bet the Sixers will get less in the offseason for him. Change the culture!!! dpcoz
funny how this comes out now, I guess I'm glad somebody said it. Players quitting is the worse thing for the entire league. Let's not forget the reasons they have though: #1 bringing AI back was a slap to the face of these guys, yeah they weren't getting it done, but AI absolutley did not make this team better. #2 they have been mediocre for 4 years now, they've gotten good return with the draft picks they have, but really you can't get better w/o a top 3 pick. #3 the league has allowed the players to dictate salaries, and then handcuffs the teams. I don't know why some players don't secretly band together, pick a team, and go there and dominate the league for a few years. I guess because some of them would sacrifice $. Maybe just maybe the 6r organizations directive is for these guys to fail. that seams to be the only way they can get better. patgroff
Totally agree, but why waste a second of my time caring about these guys? The Phillies are winners. Let's watch them. daveb618
ha ha ha talk about a waste of money ha ha ha . Snoddy
Hire Gene Hackman from Hoosiers. aerussel
I think what this Western Conf. scout said is accurate, which is why many fans wanted Iguodala and Dalembert traded. The Sixers shot back, said that the trade would only leave $7mil under the cap. Well, a big, top free agent would have been nice, but getting rid of complacent "leaders" was more important. 76erfn
