Scottie Reynolds heading to Italy

Villanova All-American guard Scottie Reynolds has agreed to a 1-year contract with financial guarantees with Prima Verdi, of the Italian League Second Division.

Reynolds will report to training camp Aug. 15, and the season begins in October.

The contract was negotiated by agents Arn Tellem and Lee Melchioni.

"We've been working on this for a while," Melchoni said. "The offer is something that blew us out of the water."

After going undrafted, Reynolds played for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Summer League in mid-July and had been mulling an offer to sign for training camp.
