Report: Sixers in talks about Iguodala trade
The 76ers are involved in talks that could send Andre Iguodala to the Nuggets as part of a four-team blockbuster trade, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The website reports that sources say the deal would send Orlando’s Dwight Howard and Denver forward Al Harrington to the Lakers, Lakers center Andrew Bynum to the Sixers, and Lakers forward Pau Gasol and Denver guard Arron Affalo going to Orlando.
Talks have grown serious “over the course of the week,” according to the report, but a deal is not considered imminent. Yahoo! also said there are moving parts to the deal to be resolved.
Yahoo! said the Magic would have a better chance of moving Gasol in another deal and eliminate the risk of Bynum leaving as a free agent in 2013. In one of the scenarios, either Gasol or Bynum would come to the Sixers.
Its not as simple as Iggy for Bynum. We have to take on Jason Roichardson and his 3yr 18million deal. I would still do it in a heartbeat. When it looked like Bynum was goin to be traded to Cleveland, Bynum said he would def sign an extension with them. If the New Jersey Native would sign with Cleveland then once he gets here and gets a taste of the philly love and starts to enjoy being the number 1 option on this team, putting up numbers like 24pts and 12rbds. We would be able to offer him the extra year and 10mil over anyone else, so he would def re-sign with us. vHe would INSTANTLY become the BEST center in the EAST! You also sell him on the fact, that we will have crazy cap flexabillity next summer even after we sign him, so you can pitch him to try and get one of his superstar buddies around the league to come to Philly! Listen, its a no brainer...go get Bynum if you can! johnGiam
Do the trade! It puts us in the top 3 of the Eastern Conference with Miami and Chicago. nmlawyer- chicago won't even be in the top 3 b/c rose is out til march. it's us the celtics and the heat if the deal goes through. the nets become an afterthought.
76ers in 2076 - You're right about Chicago. I think the Bynum trade makes us better than the Celtics, who are fading.

With Iggy gone, who would be our guy to wear those black thick rimmed glass's for the press? Collins? lol bigphillydad
Bynum also might be going to Dallas, Cavs, or Rockets.....so who knows whats going to happen johnGiam
No way Orlando takes "just" Pau and Affalo for Dwight - gotta be some draft picks in there bsmart

great, Im a philly fan living in Denver. I like the Nugs as my second team, now I cant get rid of Iggy no matter what ha. peteike- I like the Nuggets as my second team too...Iggy would make them a flying circus...but I'd believe Galinari would have to exit...Anyway, this is just talks, as like John Giam states, there are MANY teams in these talks concerning Howard...thus Bynum...Iggy is a straw though that could stir the drink to make a move possible.

well either the sixers or denver will have to take back Jason richardson, so the magic will also be getting some cap relief, and they believe they will be able to move gasol and get some more assets for him down the line... Read this extremely interesting tweet:
Ryan Wolstat: If Iguodala goes in rumoured Howard deal, there will be a lot of cursing coming out of Toronto's war room. Many backers in organization ............ If Toronto loves Iggy so much, then give us Terrance ROSS!!!! If we cant get our hands on Bynum, I beg this franchise to go and get me terrance Ross!!! johnGiam
Definitely get Bynum and put Moses on the payroll. Go with a small lineup of Bynum, T. Young, Turner, Wright and Holiday and use Allen, N. Young, Brown and Hawes when needed. 50 wins! joeyc444

Sign on the dotted line before teams come to their senses!! FetchDixon
If this happens it would mark the end of our "deep recession" that King and Stefanski put this team in. Front office leadership or there lack of, buried this team for the last 10 years or so. Just like the decisions our past President made around the same time....Boom! bigphillydad
