Phil Jasmer is a consumate professional, enjoyed and agreed with his whole chat. AI will bring excitement back. As a season ticket holder I cant wait to cheer him, warts and all. dreagle
Looks like the "cancer", I mean the answer is coming back. Now attendance will jump from 9,000 fans per game to 9,500 fans per game. Woohoo! Don't ruin your chance to get in the lottery and pick John Wall next year. PS You should have Ty Lawson right now...dumb pick last year! Tar Heel 1
I'll bet Jay Wright is happy he never really considered this. sleepy- Iverson sux! No wonder no one wants him.
while they're at it i think they should bring back tyrone hill, luke jackson, wali jones, maybe even shaler halimon. how about digging up wilt? at this point he couldn't be any more of a stiff than dalembert. frenval
Maybe I am missing something here- but starting lineup of Brand 2.0, Thad, Sammy (who is playing well lately) and backcourt of Iggy and AI? I will take that over Willie Green, Royal Ivey nonsense. If it's true that Coach Jordan's Princeton Offense (and Comm. College Defense?) does not require a true PG what is to lose by experimenting with AI? All the racist coming back out of the closet for Allen's return! spizz
Iverson makes players worse? You mean like Keith Van Horn who had the best year or his career playing with Iverson or do you mean Snow, McKie, Lynch, Tyrone Hill, Mutombo, Glenn Robinson, and Chris Webber who all went on to have great careers when they got away from the Answer? paperchaser
There has to be concern when memphis is the only team that wants AI and even the Knicks don't want anything to do with him. If the Sixers sign AI that basically blows up Jordan's Princeton offense and we go back to everyone standing around watching a guy with a 42% career shooting % chuck up shots from every where in the building. Personally if they bring back AI I will ask for a refund of my 10 game plan... lalleva
BRAND STINKS!!!! Why is he still here?! I'm glad Allen is coming back...But, please, whatever the Sixers do...just don't bring back Coleman!!! (Jokingly: I say this because the Sixers are desperate!!) Yevette
Bring A.I. back. The young players are men, what have they learned from Brand, whose considered a fine gentleman and true professional, not 1 thing, so why will they learn something from Iverson, they will pick up exactly what they want to and if it's negative, Iverson will be the excuse, come on people stop with all the "over analyzing". Iverson provides so many things to this team and we will win much more games. Injuries and non-coaching along with terrible management is destroying this team, it all began with our best "big" going down. Speights should've been our starting four, w/Brand backing him up, if management wanted to make it look good, simply tell the truth, Brand's recovery to form will take sometime and we want to bring him along slowly. Young and Iggy cancels each other out due to their lack of shooting, therefor in the mean time bring Young off of the bench due to his lack of defense as well as poor rebounding, start Iggy at the three, this is something the coach has to see as well as know! Now he's back to starting Young at the four, my question,WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY??????????????????????????????Our front-court is our biggest problem, we need to sure it up and Young is the perfect and only valuable trade option. Send him to Washington for their young back up big man:McGee. A front court consisting of Iggy(3) Speights(4) and McGee(5) would be very formidable! A talented 7 footer will always make a team legit. Got rid of a key piece and veteran influence in Andre Miller. They didn't value him enough and another young team in Portland did. It's Portlands gain. If Iverson can decide better than he has in the past when to pass (he can pass well when decides to) and when to score he could really help the Sixers. It may cost a few draft positions but a healthy Brand and Iverson and Iggy is at least interesting to watch for Sixers fans. Dahlsim
The problem is we always think Iverson has seen the folly of his ways and then the Grizzlies pick him up and the same ole Iverson reappears. I see nothing but problems when Lou heals and wants to return to the starting lineup. Surely I am not the only one who feels this way! WhatNow
Weren't we a playoff team last year?? Get rid of Jordan, he's terrible. Sucked in Washington, now he sucks in Philly...and on a sidenote who cares about the Sixers. Move to Kansas City or something. Phillies1120
Give up on rebuilding with the draft, give up on playing defense, give up on the future and give up on minutes for the kids. Get gate and one man show. There is no AI in team. This whole process needs patience and long range thinking. I don't even see 'thinking'. LaCroix,Nolet,Gendron
I hate to say it, but you have to question Phil's credibility when he talks up Willie Green and Eric Snow in the same chat. LennyandCarl
Team sucks on D. AI doesn't change that. Fix the coach. They used to be solid, now they are at the bottom on D, and at the bottom of the standings, coincidence? rswknight
AI will model what playing with heart means. He will also model how to make a shambles out of team discipline (what, me practice?) and how to be a ball hog. The sixers aren't going to win with this coach anyway. I say, let the young players have the ball. Let them develop and gel as a team. Maybe in a couple of years they'll get a better coach and go somewhere. Iverson will sell a lot of jersey's, score a lot of points, and keep the young guys from learning the fundamentals of the game and developing their skills. Iverson is a great talent who is fun to watch. But he makes his teammates worse. We need players that make their teammates better. Want a little #2 guard that knows how to score and make his teammates better? Draft Penn State's Taylor Battle. Sorry AI. You were fun to watch, but you are not the guy I want to pass on wisdom to a group of developing players. Midwest FA
I feel Iverson may have seen the folly of his ways. I think he could serve not only as a great asset to our offence but as a mentor to Jrue and Lou as well. What do you think? jaydes
Phil I have been watching several teams that are attempting to build with "younger players" just like the Sixers. I feel Memphis, Oklahoma City and even New Jersey once healthy all have more upside than Sixers do. What is your opinion? choops613
I would welcome back iverson with open arms. Aside from the advantages in the marketing side, Iverson is a better scorer than anyone else on this team right now, including the current "AI". In addition, he will show players like Mo and Holiday how to play with heart and a desire to win. Does anyone else see players on this team smiling all the way to the lockerroom after a loss...why?? Because they lack thay fire that Kobe has, Garnett has, Wade has...Iverson has that fire and the desire to win. Bring him back. Fo Fo Fo
How sad is it that the Sixers may indeed bring Iverson back. It was how many days ago that Stefanski said they were moving in a different direction? What happens when Williams returns? Same old, same old. Flydogs
Hey, Phil, you're doing a great job. lehmkuv
