Moultrie suspended for five games

Sixers forward Arnett Moultrie has been suspended for five games for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy. Moultrie will not be paid during the suspension.

Moultrie has most recently been playing for the team's Development League affiliate Delaware 87ers. He cannot play for them during the suspension.

The 6-10 forward missed most of the season after having ankle surgery before the season. After the ankle healed he still couldn't get on the floor for games because he couldn't get himself back in shape. His attitude while sitting on the bench when dressed was horrible, as he often stayed away from the team huddle during timeouts and many times didn't seem to be paying attention to the game.

He played 12 games for the Sixers this season, averaging 3 point and 2.9 rebounds in 15.6 minutes. He is under contract next season for $1.1 million, though it would be a surprise if he is still here.
