Andre Miller, the 76ers' unrestricted free agent, officially signed with the Portland Trail Blazers just before 7 tonight.

Miller had agreed to terms earlier in the day, but Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard waited until the deal was finalized before releasing the information.

The Blazers did not release length of term or dollar figures, but ESPN is reporting a three-year contract worth $21 million, with $14 million guaranteed in the first two years and the rest in a non-guaranteed third year. Miller earned $10.3 million with the Sixers last season.

In a statement, Pritchard said ''We are excited to add a player of the caliber and character of Andre Miller. He is one of the league's iron men who brings a wealth of veteran leadership to our team and is a great fit for our young and improving roster.''

Miller has played in 530 consecutive regular-season games, the longest active streak in the NBA.

I'm glad I didn't renew my season tickets, Andre Miller was the only thing keeping the team in the playoffs.

Yo Phil, can you remember a more significant or potentially damaging Sixer free agent departure in the last 15 years? I can't.

So much hate. No need for the bitterness. He was a good player for us. I hope Lou can step up.

Good move...hopefully this season we can get some chemistry going if Elton can stay healthy. Free Agency next season will be big, lets get rid of Dalambert and prepare for off season 2010.

The real question is how do you let this guy walk and get nothing for him? We should have traded him at mid-season. STIFFanski is a bozo.

Stefanski stinks!!!!! If they knew this was the direction they were heading why didn't they trade Miller at the deadline....you could have atleast received a future #1 and maybe a role player. In the NBA, with the salary locking teams down you can never let a quality player walk for NOTHING!!!!!

Been thinking about this alot, but what did the Sixers really lose by not trading Miller mid-season. No one was going to trade an outstanding rookie or second year player for an expiring contract. We probably would have just swapped expiring contracts. If we would have lost Miller during the middle of the season and then failed to make the playoffs, well they've already admitted they wanted Holliday anyway. So what's the big deal. Miller had a nice run hear and pushed Iggy and Thad to be better players. I wish him the best and hope the experience he's given the rest of the team will help them push Maresse and now Jrue to reach their potential. . . . but I still want A.I. back for a 1 year deal :)

A perfect setting for Andre Miller. I wish him the best because he is a professional on a young team with a chance to really make some noise. It is a wonderful opportunity for him.
