Iguodala hopeful for Friday return

Sixers forward Andre Iguodala hopes to return to the team for Friday's game in Dallas.

For the first time since leaving Friday's game against Cleveland at halftime due to a strained right Achilles tendon, Sixers swingman Andre Iguodala was on the court this morning during the Sixers shootaround at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City in preparation for tonight's game against the Thunder.

Iguodala will be on the bench tonight in street clothes, just as he was in New York on Sunday when the team beat the Knicks. Iguodala said that he is targeting being ready for Friday's game in Dallas.

The injury is still sore, according to Iguodala, who took jump shots with the team and stayed around after to shoot some more. He did not do any hard running, but also didn't appear to be favoring the injury.

Also, swingman Jason Kapono, who missed two practices and will not be here for tonight's game, will rejoin the team in Dallas. Kapono has been out due to personal reasons.
