Hot rookie Wes Johnson is out tonight for the Timberwolves against the Sixers

Rookie shooting guard Wes Johnson won't play in tonight's game against the Sixers as he is felled by gastroenteritis - food poisoning.

Wes Johnson, the fourth overall pick this past June out of Syracuse, will miss tonight's game for the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Sixers with food poisoning. Johnson has been hot of late, averaging 17.5 points over his last four games.

Also on the injury front, Sixers forward Elton Brand said the dislocated pinkie on his right hand is fine and that he is ready to go tonight. Brand will be wearing a splint on his pinkie, said coach Doug Collins. Brand says shooting is a major problem, its mostly catching the ball and rebounding.
