Hawes probable for tonight

Sixers center Spencer Hawes took part in this morning's shootaround and is listed as probable for tonight's game against the Washington Wizards at the Wells Fargo Center.

Hawes strained the middle of his back during pregame warmups Monday night in New Orleans and did not play.

Hawes missed 16 days during the preseason with a lower back strain. This injury is in a different spot.

Also, coach Doug Collins did not attend the shootaround with cold and flu symptoms. He is expected to be on the bench for tonight's game.

The Sixers return home for the first time since Dec. 17.
