Collins to miss tonight's preseason game

Head coach Doug Collins will miss tonight's preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cincinnati due to symptoms from a concussion he suffered on Memorial Day, the team said.

Collins flew to Cincinnati with the team yesterday and had dinner with the team. He met with the coaching staff this morning and told them he was flying back to Philadelphia this afternoon.

Associate head coach Michael Curry will run the team tonight. Curry said at this morning's shootaround that Collins has been suffering from headaches and dizziness.

Collins has never said anything to the media about the situation.

The Sixers play the Knick at home tomorrow night and the team said that Collins' availability for that game is still uncertain.

More to come ...
