Sixers forward Elton Brand did not practice today with a right calf strain and is listed as day-to-day, the team said.

Brand did not indicate that the injury was serious. It is not on the same leg that underwent surgery when Brand injured his Achilles during the 2007-08 season.

He told reporters that he tweaked the calf  against San Antonio on Feb. 19 and tried to play through it during the four-game road trip that concluded with Friday's loss to the Lakers.

The Sixers face the Orlando Magic tomorrow night at the Wachovia Center.

Probably no biggie. Just resting up for a deep run in the playoffs.

Would certainly explain why he has played so poorly since the All-Star Break.
