Bosh to Philly fans: Bring on the boos

POSTED: Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 2:11 PM

Hey, nothing like a little extra juice to bring added excitement to the playoffs.

The Sixers, trailing 2-0, host the Miami Heat on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

And when you put Philly and fans together to an opposing player, this is what you get:

“They have a reputation,” Chris Bosh told reporters, “so I expect them to really own up to it.

“We’ve prepared ourselves. We just have to go in there with thick skin like we always have and let the opposing boos really, really motivate us.”

The Heat, of course, has not been to Philadelphia since the second game of the regular season (which was the Sixers' opener). Bosh has visited the city many times as a member of the Toronto Raptors, but

“We went to Philly in October. And in Toronto, we didn’t have too many big games in Philly,” Bosh said. “So we haven’t really got their best yet.”

“Game 3, of course it’s important,” Bosh said. “In the playoffs, every game is always extremely important, but in game three, I think their will is at stake here.

“They’re going to come out fighting. They’re going to come out really swinging, especially with that home energy behind them.”

Yawn, lets repeat myths we heard somewhere. Bosh take charges better than any Sixer, he defends the rim better, he gets hammered and gets up and sinks the free throws. He would be the toughest guy on the Sixers. But you heard people say over the years he is soft so you don't bother thinking for yourself.

Because Sixers fans are going to be really worked into a lather as they watch a sweep take place. What an imbecile. Thanks, but I'll save my booing for when it counts.

Brand should blatantly slam Bosh to the floor on his first shot attempt to send a message and get the crowd into a frenzy. The Sixers have been playing too soft in the first two games. Need to send a message that it won't be that easy when they are in Philly.

Ha, LeBron and Wade could crush the Sixers like bugs. Yeah hard foul them, that only makes them play even better son. Many have tried to go after Bosh, he holds his ground and then drops 20 and 10.

Exactly, we only boo good players. Someone should tell Bosh the boos, if any, will be directed to LeBron. I don't think anyone else is boo worthy on that team for a variety of reasons. Either they suck (See. Christina Bosh), are scrubs (See. entire team other than Wade & LeBron), or we have no beef with them (See. D-Wade). I love how Bosh actually thinks he's 1 of the Big 3. It's really just Wade, LeBron and a bunch of scrubs.

From playerwives.com: After coming home from the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Bosh made it clear to 7-month-pregnant Allison Mathis that he was ready to end the relationship, and then attempted to remove her from their jointly owned home. In May of 2009, Mathis brought a suit against Bosh, and according to the court documents filed by Mathis, "With Mathis seven months pregnant it is alleged Bosh stopped supporting her financially and attempted to have her removed from their home. Without money to pay for her obstetrician appointments, let alone a means of transportation to attend them, Mathis, according to the documents, suffered “breakthrough bleeding and a constantly upset stomach” while utility companies threatened to disconnect her electricity, gas and water."

dont be such morons and liars bosh avg 24.0 pts a game for toronto last season and over 18 this season if he was on the sixers this series would be tied up today, instead the sixers have HOGGS(hawes)a slow footed weakling who does not score points gets very little rebounds and can't defend.

Bosh makes $15 mil a year, can drop 20 and 10 anytime, and will be playing for rings the next 7 years. Yes, I am sure he cares what any loser on this board thinks.

What's up with Jon Kap? Lose his job or something? I enjoy his critical opinions when they aim to make the sixers better, but today he's just plain hating. We know Bosh averages 18 and 8, we watch the games too. We know the Heat are the far better team. Does that mean we can't root for the sixers? Be a sport, kid. What's life without enjoying the underdog position once in a while.
Also, does that mean we can't take jabs at Bosh for becoming a third option when he could be more of a star on other teams? That he is symbolic of the alarming polarization of talent in this league, which is the main reason the NBA is losing more and more fans? People are ridiculing Bosh to prevent this distorted balance, to hopefully get the NBA going in a better direction. Since Jon Kap keeps stating how fabulous the Heat are, and how weak the Sixers are (DUH), I guess he genuinely enjoys this pathetic product that David Stern is shaping the league into.

JonKrap likes saying 20 & 10. I think he wants to kiss RuPaul. Heat will beat the hapless Sixers and get smoked in the next round. 20 & 10.

Yes we all know the Sixers will lose this series. At this point, I just want one game. And I'll just pretend that's all we need to win the round, like AI's overtime game against the Lakers in Game 1 of the Finals. That was our peak point, and has gone downhill ever since. But it was still worth being a fan for that moment. So I expect the Sixers to steal a game...IF.

Yes, the Heat are gonna get it from all 7,000 fans. Still can't believe that the Sixers once had 6,000 fans show up for a 7th game of a playoff series!

JonKap - Does Miami get that much in Heat? Don't you realize that Bosh gets his points and rebounds in Miami because teams are focusing on LeBron and then Wade. He barely gets double teamed because teams are more scared of the other two, hence freeing him to do what he does best. Sure he'll be the best player on the Sixers, but he'll jump ship quick like you would if he sees a better opportunity.
