chuck:Nicholson does not fit the sexy, athletically gifted big that Thorn spoke of just a day ago, but he TOTALLY fits what DC looks for in his big forwards, as you know...At 23, and a 4 year player with constant improvement resulting in being A 10 Player of the Year and a stallwart for his team, he's MATURE..He's long with huge hands, but he can shoot very well...His stock started to go up at the Combine, where he made everything. The other options I think DC shuns from a bit...Regarding White, BC responded unusually quickly to me to let me know he's heard "not good things about him"...Like Faried, the Sixers never considered White for past iondisretions, not taking into accout the full circle this endearing kid has gone thru...Weird thing,White cancelled his last 5 workouts with teams after a supposed "promise" from the Celtics...But Danny Ainge today denied that promise exists...Find out tomorrow

chuck:now that all the good feelings from the 1rst inning of the Phillies is going out the window (or out of the yard), check out Andrew Nicholson's Combine Interview (DraftNet)...he's so modest and unassuming, it's pretty funny...Quieter than LaVoy..Every answer is 6 words or less..Canadian.

we need to get Illyasova in free agency PERIOD!!! that means we dont need a powerforward at 15, especially not a lavoyn allen clone. I mean wtf is wrong with some of these writers? i see people writing about moe harkless, Nichols, and zeller. r these writers nuts?

we need to do whatever we have to do to draft Terrance Ross. you cant find a guard in this draft or in free agency (NO aint letting gordon go) that fits better with Jrue and Evan then Terrance Ross!!! find a way to draft him. If he is off the board, you call the team that drafts him immediately, and do what you gotta do to get him. He is a cant miss prospect, sniper, handles, high flyer, long arms, defender. We really need terrance Ross!

the only realistic player that we have a snowballs chance in hell to go trade around 8 for and draft that I would want more then ross would be drummond!

Manok:I would do that in a second...I believe the Kings want to jettison Tyreke Evans, so you never know...The guy in the Draft they want is Harkless....Chuck:a couple of really good articles on Royce White just came out...www.grantland.com/.../on-road-nba-draft-prospect-royce-white..........The other one is SI by Pablo S Torre...must reads...with DC would trade back to scoop him up when he falls.

Bob "Potato salad" Cooney mock draft is just like his usual sixers reports clue-less! The Hornets will not draft Ross because rivers son will be there at 10 and they will have davis and rivers. The sixers will have a choice between perry jones III or terrence ross.

male:Toronto also like Rivers, so if he goes at #8, then it is open...If Rivers is available,Monte Williams will take him at #10 if they don't trade it...Perry Jones will be available to the Sixers...but I think they should look at him as a Paul George type, not a power forward...Chad Ford tonight says Terrence Jones, who will be sitting in the crowd Thursday.

Nicholson would actually be steal at 15 most scouts and people who know what there talking about have him going between 7-12 he'we would be blessed if we get him. obviusly non of you seen nicholson play most scouts are saying he could 1 of maybe 2 middle round picks to really become stars fyi he's ^'( he shoots the 3 ball he rebounds and plays in probably 4 or 5th strongest conferences out there. So i guess none of you watch the a-10 tourney or the big dance game. He would be a steal at 15 it would be a shock if he's there.

Bear: how bad is Tyler Cloyd? Manuel insists his bullpen is better than any starters at Lehigh Valley. Might tell that to Valdes, Savery, and Schwimmer.
As for Nicholson, I would prefer a two guard like Ross, but they will not trade up to get him. Pundits are all over the place on Perry Jones, III, but I doubt DC wants a player who appears to lack self-motivation. Nicholson is still a reach at 15, but as we both have noted, he fits DC's scheme. I still believe they will trade the two second round picks, along with Turner. Rod Thorn on Missanelli today insisted the Sixers had a better than 50-50 chance to re-sign Hawes and Williams, particularly the former. We shall see. If Williams leaves, then they could look at Combo's guy, J.R. Smith.

All i know, is that neither rod thorn, or doug collins should be making
to many "long term decisions.if you remember, the only reason the sixers
made the playoffs was, there last 5 games were lollipop opponents.Collins is not the type of coach, that will lead this team,
because when things get tough, he becomes smug, and sarcastic. He simply is not a coach who performs well, when the heat is on. I saw the real doug collins, when the sixers, started going south, in the middle of the year-Do not want him making any type of personnel decisions, and Thorn, well he's already gone!!

Anyone read this article on cbssports rating the NBA's GM based on their draft records? Nice to see Rod Thorn right at the bottom http://www.cbssports.com/nba/draft/gm-ratings Of course why should this be a shock as he was the guy who took Antoine Wright over Danny Granger and Marcus Williams over Kyle Lowry just to name a few of his blunders. Lets pray that he is as far away from the draft room as possible.

Chad Ford writes that Toronto was hoping to trade their pick for Rudy Gay or Iguodala straight up but COULDN'T!!! Are you serious?

We'd have even more cap relief, a young core, picks 8 and 15 in a deep draft where the usual stupid teams are passing up top tier guys...WOW. This is hard to watch...

According to John Nash, the Sixers brought in Myles Leonard twice, the only player brought in by them twice. If he is there at 15, sounds like he will be the pick rather than Nicholson.

Although I don't believe the Sixers will move up, I leave open one possibility: they might deal Turner, who Jim Lynam compared to a young Brandon Roy, to Portland with #15 and both second rounders for #12 and Jamal Crawford, who the Sixers are known to be after, and will then draft Myles Leonard at #12.
