Bears - correct me if I'm wrong, but the draft should be used to shore up deficiencies with your team, not add more of what you have. What we don't need - big guys who like to step out and shoot jumpers and wing players who are athletic and can't shoot. We need a big who hits the offensive board and blocks shots - neither of which we do, or a wing who can actually shoot. Enough - I'm not interesting in squandering the pick on, um, Craig Brackins. Interior toughness or a shooter

The sixers could take the the concession guy in the first round and they would be just as lucky. These college players are so immature that they can't last more than 6months playing the game and then they fall into bad habits, carry a gun marry 10 different women and then lose all of their money and wind up paupers on the street. They never got a college degree so they end up carring boxes for a shoe store and never see the light of day. Re: Alan Iverson

If we draft Nicholson at 15, this is tough but, this summer I'll be taking my talents to South Philly and I'm burnin the place dwn. As far as Cooney's Mock(ery), with those guys left on the board would create a tough call for me. I'd use the whole clock and probably go Henson. As much as I like PJ3, Henson could very well develop into one of the better players in this draft. I think PJ3 and Sullinger hav potential to be stars but when u got a defender who can score & rebound the ball, that's hard to pass up. Ask Portland.

Yeah, as much as I'd like the Sixers to grab Terrence Ross, I do believe he'll be gone by then.

As for Nicholson's viability as an immediate contributor ... well, I'll leave that to more savvy contributors than yours truly ...

mel:Nicholson is a shooter..He's VERY efficient...If they did take him, it would represent that they would not look for an Ilasova or Ryan Anderson,IMO...Nichiolson's not fast, but he's very long in his wingspan and standing reach...He can alter/block shots...But he's NOT vertical, not strong. He is essentially, a DC type player...As far as the Draft, if you can find a talent that can fit the need immediately,great...but I feel the highly rated scorers (shooter Terrence Ross specifically) will be gone..Draft should be to build assets...they're allowed to trade guys and sign free agents, because I see many needs for this team at the moment. Rumor of the hour now says Terrence Jones (Hoopshype)

buy-me-toys:all of these mocks are just toilet paper, don't take them too seriously. The beat reporters try to pick up vibes, but basically, the Sixers probably have like 10 different scenarios going into tomorrow.

Bear you see the latest rumor of the Sixers pursuing a trade for Jamal Crawford? It makes no sense. Might as well just resign Lou if that's the case. Also, what and/or who will they trade for him? Enticing events for tomorrow.

Funny thing Manok...Hoopshype came out with thtat one 2/3 days ago, and CSN just ran with it today...Portland's got to dump him by Friday or he opts out and they get nothing...I'm not a big fan, but he can score (but Lou runs point for the Sixers as well often, an underrated value,IMO)...It's all about money, the Sixers are not going to compete to keep Lou...I believe he's gone...I think Thorn sort of planted the seeds to that when he commented on how so manyh teams are under the cap for Free Agency....Now that it looks like Ross and Rivers will be gone, backcourt scoring becomes an issue...I'd like Doron Lamb if the Sixers could figure it out...He should go in the 25-30 range.

If the team is looking for a Lou-type of replacement, they should somehow move up and draft Waiters... which would not likely happen. Crawford at this point in his career is on the major decline. The Sixers can use him, but Lou is better in many other facets compared to Jamal. Also, Lou was the lone person whom teams were scared of in the last minutes of a game. Hopefully the team is only exploring options and not taking this seriously. The team does not need another player in their twilight years.

Remember when we talked about taking Waiter at #15 like 2 months ago?...His stock is such that they'd have to trade to Sacramento at #5 (who's shopping it anyway)...I agree. I've had enough old guys on the Phillies...Waiters appears to be lethal in his workouts.

Yeah when we were talking about Waiters he was slated 15-25 range. Now like you mentioned, the team would have to trade to the 5 spot just to get him. If they do decide to trade up for him, ET or Iggy would have to go in order to free up playing time. Even as a ET fan, I wouldn't mind seeing ET traded for Waiters. Waiters has an intriguing mid range pull up game and is lightning quick off the dribble.

Bear: I think Cooney is pulling your chain by not showing White being selected in the first round, However, since Ross, Beal, Lamb, and Rivers will be gone by 15, I would not be surprised at all if they take Nicholson. Does not matter who they draft, half the posters will rip them anyhow.

Dumb draft, no way Portland picks who is listed, they have no center. No way sixers take Nichlson with so much talent still on board.
