What a joke of a trade this was, we got a bad knee player who will never play because of his knees and when he's suppose to be rehabing it, he's out bowling and screwing up the other knee. Can't we get our money back? Didn't they check out his knees before the trade? neddyflanders
If Bynam can't bowl w/o hurting his knee how can he EVER play basketball. Mote woes for Philly sports fans. fanup
This guy sounds like a great addition to the Philly sports scene - yet another bonehead!! bigdaddyG
Did Bynam hurt his knee or his head? Boru
This trade may end up being worse than the Jeff Ruland trade. At least Jeff played 3 or 4 games before ending his career. Bynam may end up with ZERO games played miket47
how did he play an entire [shortened, condensed] season ending last spring, but can't play a lick this year? are the sixers being unrealistic in believing he can be pain-free? maybe that 'procedure' done in germany was to blame... fillyfan
Miket47, NO SPORTS TRADE WILL EVER BE WORSE THAN THE JEFF RULAND DEAL. Bynum could take a Sherman-tank and run over several fans in the parking lot and it would still be a good deal compared to the Ruland trade.
That trade ENDED WHAT WAS A PHENOMENAL FRANCHISE and broke up a team that is still considered one of the greatest in NBA history. The Sixers, essentially, traded away All-Star Center Brad Daugherty and Moses Malone for Ruland. Had they simply held onto the top pick in the draft and picked Daugherty, they would have won two more NBA championships as we would have had Malone, Brad and Barkley in the front court.
I don't know what's going to happen to Andrew. But, Bynum could never play again, pistol whip a kid and spit on a nun and this trade would STILL be better than that one. At least this one MADE A TINY BIT OF SENSE! The Ruland trade may as well have been made by Pee Wee Herman. 21stCentury
Phillies end the season with a record that no one thought they'd have after winning 100+ last year. Eagles on the brink of destruction after MV7 declared them to be a "Dynasty" during the offseason. (Learned absolutely nothing from VY calling it a "Dream Team") Sixers are probably the only thing to root for nowadays being in FL but as my screen name states "Phillynative". Flyers.....Ehhhhh Yea so GO SIXERS PHILLYnative00
This guy appears to be a real joke. He will never play and collect a big check. He is Vomit Man's type of player. The One Who Knows
Ever hear of stretching? gubbers97
21ST CENTURY. While I agree the Ruland trade was horrible, the sixers didn't trade Brad D (the 1st pick) for Ruland. The 1st pick was dealt for Roy Hinson .... but the combination of both did ruin the Sixers for more than 2 decades. I still wonder what the front court of Moses, Brad and Chuck could have been. Maybe one of the best EVER. Da Fredster
Alot of people working in the trades are familiar with working through these types of knee problems. Sometimes we switch trades for awhile til the body can give it another go. Bynum will be around and effective for a few years. I hope he shows something when he come back and gets stronger for the playoffs. Gotta win the whole thing while he is here. We will resign him, we will contend for the title and win it. Can't stand thinking about a lesser outcome. spear1
