After stunning comeback win against Denver, Sixers play at Golden State tonight

The Sixers continue their long road trip tonight as they play the improved Golden State Warriors.

When the Sixers fell behind the Denver Nuggets by 12 points early in the fourth quarter Sunday night, it seemed the only question to ponder was how much the final deficit would be.

But the Sixers outscored the Nuggets by 29-18 in the final quarter, went on a 24-4 run after getting behind by 12 and maded 12 of 14 free throws down the stretch after missing 10 of their first 18.

Now there is no time to celebrate as the Sixers will play at Golden State tonight against a Warriors team that is riding the coattails of Monta Ellis, the third leading scorer in the league at 26 a game. He has been even better than that lately as he is averaging 35.8 points and shooting 52.1 percent from the floor over his past five games.

Here are some keys for the Sixers tonight as they look to improve their 12-18 record.

*Obviously, contain Ellis. As much as that might seem to be a "no-kidding" statement, when he is going off it makes everyone else on the team better, creating open space on the floor for the likes of Stephen Curry and David Lee.

*Get the transition game going. Golden State will certainly want this to be a fast game. Though they haven't done it lately because the mathcups weren't conducive, the Sixers should be able to run with the Warriors. If that's the case, expect to see a lot of Thaddeus Young in the lineup.

*Continue to get good play from Jrue Holiday. He played some of his best ball of the season in the second half against Denver. He drove the lane, drew fouls. And when he drew defenders, he found the right open man.

*Get out on shooters. Elllis and Curry can drain from anywhere. Curry is still trying to find his stroke after returning from an ankle injury. They can't let him find it tonight.
