I'd rather have Jefferson,,BUTTT,, everyone needs to calm down,, good big men don't grow on trees,, If they did we would have one already.
Collins is doing a GREAT job considering what he has to work with, or was stuck with. Patience is the only way this team will compete for a ring. And it won't happen tomorrow.

I really like this team now. Making big moves! Do you think we could add someone like Z. Torres for a big man under the hoop? StewieLavin27
Whoever said you can't re-sign Brand after you amnesty him is incorrect. It is highly unlikely they'll be able to though b/c he would have to clear waivers. Someone out there will claim him on waivers and then negotiate a deal.
As for Milsap, I like him but he is VERY undersized. Has a ton of heart and plays hard. But if you're looking for size, he isn't it. HarryFastHands
Sixers ought to trade either Iguodala or better yet Turner and a bunch of draft picks to get Howard, now that the Nets talks have broken down. The Magic will want to do something and not let him walk without compensation lefty1117
Like I said Cooney sucks and so does Mitchell. This whole report was a waste of time Novafan14
Grizzlies and Lakers showing interest in.......wait for it...........Jodie Meeks. LOL Looks like the Wright deal is being held up because NO got involved and made it a 3 team deal. We still give up Bevic or Beavis or Bavcic? or whatever his name is and trade exception and get Wright but our pick and trade exception goes to NO and NO is trading Jarrett Jack to the Warriors in a salary dump. joecooler2u
Michael Eric from Temple is a big, athletic, well-coached, and affordable free-agent. He will play well with Lavoy Allen and back up Hawes. damnels
I hope this front office doesnt dare bring in Dajuar "I have NO ACL's" blair, or Andre "king of the knuckleheads" Blatche! since I have no confidence in this front office doing anything other then bringing in 6'7 forwards....as crazy as it sounds, i dont put it past them to do something as idiot as Blatche or blair and try to pass it off to the fans. Until thorn is totally removed from the equation, and until we bring in 2 guys in a row that arent 6'7...then im going to have terribly suspicious nightmares about them doing something as idiotic as waiting for Blatche to get amnestied, snag him off waivers, and try to pass him off to the fans as our starting power forward! sad times! johnGiam
6'7" is the new metro big! pedge
im disgusted. we could have had some nice inexpensive upgrades at the pf position, but instead we got a bunch of swing men. had you gotten me the pf, i would be applauding these moves. rod thorn, you senile old bat johnGiam
i know theres been a lot of talk about the sixers being in the mix for howard. i agree that they probably are, but they are hesitant sending their whole team because the strong possibly he wouldn't resign. IF the sixers do go in this direction, this is what has to happen:
they must keep iguodala: howard will be gone for sure if he isn't there. trade turner, thad, hawes, and maybe some others (draft picks maybe?). also, they would have to make him gain trust in the front office immediately. that seems to be a big problem with him in orlando, even though he kind iof created it. if I'm the sixers i ask him if he'd rather play along iguodala, or them trade iguodala for another guy that he would rather play with. by getting him involved with negotiations and making him feel welcome, i think he could resign. worse case is they can trade him at the deadline for a bunch of draft picks. I'm not saying its going to happen at all, but if it does, they can not mess it up HDemetriou
I am pretty sure the Sixers are planning on playing the #27 draft pick who they might have picked at 15, Lavoy Allen and Young at PF. I am not sure they are even thinking about it so I am surprised it consumes the message boards. A back-up center so they can play Allen at PF like he is supposed to, yes. If I was the Sixers, I would take a shot at Howard even though it sounds like he is a tough sign. Once players get the good side of Philly fans, they know they are playing in the right place. Howard is said ot be very concerned about his marketability and it's easy to see you can do everything you want in those terms in Philly. Iverson was the #1 seller of swag for years here. Howard can completely blow-up playing in Philly and he would see that once he played here and the Sixers would be able to offer him 20 million more than any other team. If they traded for him, he would be 80% to re-sign here. UncleStosh
After they get Howard, they'll sign Chris Paul & Josh Smith. Then in 2014 they'll have no problem landing Kobe. caught-u-sleepin
