Sports radio switcheroo: 610WIP = 94WIP

Details of AM sports station WIP's taking over FM slot 94.1 FM

WYSP has gone to its watery grave, giving way to sports radio.

Philly sports radio station 610WIP (610-AM) has undergone its previously-announced expansion into the FM universe (which is beamed out to your eager ears thanks to frequency modulation), retooling itself as SportsRadio 94 WIP (94.1-FM).

Folks who passionately believe in amplitude modulation need not worry, WIP also will continue to broadcast at 610-AM.

The revamped CBS Radio property will launch its weekday programming on Tuesday:

Each morning begins at 5 a.m. with a five-hour block hosted by Angelo Cataldi and the Morning Team with Rhea Hughes and Al Morganti.

The Mike and Ike Show, featuring Comcast SportsNet's Michael Barkann and former Eagle All Pro Ike Reese follows from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tthe next five-hour block will belong to Anthony Gargano and Glen Macnow, who will be taking their midday show to late afternoon.

The 6 to 10 p.m. slot belongs to Rob Ellis (or, if there's a game to sports play-by-play).

And Big Daddy Graham will hold your hand (and coo in your ears) for the overnight show, broadcasting from 2 to 5:30 a.m.
