Phila. schools' HR Chief is out

Estelle Matthews, the Philadelphia School District's Human Resources chief, is out.
It's not yet clear the circumstances surrounding her departure, but Matthews' last day was yesterday, a district employee who answered Matthews' phone said.
District spokesman Fernando Gallard said he could not confirm Matthews' departure.
"We do not have an official announcement," Gallard said. "When we do have an announcement, we will be sharing it."
Matthews was close with controversial former superintendent Arlene Ackerman, who brought her to the district from a position in human resources at the bank now known as Wells Fargo.

More dead wood from the Ackerman team being cleared out- good riddance!— slugo- Keep Going....There are many in the PSD that need to find other jobs. Being a teacher, or an adminstrator, requires a certain calling for the job.
