Live from the SRC

It's a rare Tuesday School Reform Commission meeting, and I'll be tweeting, as usual.

The agenda isn't particularly long or potentially controversial today, but it is a notable meeting nonetheless. It's Joyce Wilkerson's first as chair of the changing commission. The panel will have four members for the forseeable future, as the seat vacated by Feather Houstoun is set to be filled by gubernatorial nominee Estelle Richman, who awaits Senate confirmation. That will not happen this year. It's also worth noting that the new chair made it plain that she wants and expects local control of Philadelphia schools - that is, she hopes her SRC job isn't her SRC job for very long.

I imagine members of the public will have some things they want Chair Wilkerson to hear. Follow along!
