Live from the SRC: Charter non-renewal, 81 speakers
Kristen Graham
Ready for a marathon SRC meeting? On the agenda tonight: non-renewal vote for Community Academy of Philadelphia Charter School, the city's oldest charter; new plan for Career and Technical Education (that's vocational education); and a whopping 81 speakers, many of whom I'd guess will be discussing planned school closings. I'll be livetweeting - follow along! The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30.

they only want the money. If they really cared about the kids they would "fix" the schools, make the parents more responsible, financially, academically and respect is a must in the SDOP. There is NONE towards staff in schools!
dontlikedems- Please tell me "dontlikedems" is not a teacher. Isn't literacy a prerequisite for that job?
Thank you for disabling comments. The SRC was asked to take a pay cut but the complicate Graham yucks it up that the SRC is unpaid. I say that they are paid, just not in salary. What about stipends, expense accounts, electronic equipment usage, travel expenses, chauffeurs??? Report on that instead of just scoffing at the questioners ignorance. D.C. Stinkley
Comment removed.- Charter schools are a scam. They leach valuable resources from neighborhood schools, while providing little oversight by parents and the community. Every charter must close.
