Police are asking for help identifying two suspects who robbed a Southwest Philadelphia corner store in August.

Footage released last week shows three suspects entering the Jaquez Grocery Store on South 62nd Street around noon.

One of the robbers pulls a Tec-9 from his waistband and shoves it in the face of a woman working the counter, while another suspect trains a handgun on two employees.

A third suspect acts as a lookout. The perps forced the victims into the basement, then emptied the cash register of about $7,500 before fleeing.

The Tec-9 wielding suspect is about 5'8", thinly built, in his late twenties and was wearing an orange baseball cap. Another suspect had a full beard and wore a blue Los Angeles Dodgers cap. Tipsters should call Southwest Detectives at 215-686-3183.

Let's see: This story describes the weapon used, and the height/build/clothing of the perps, but no race? What gives? (Not all can view video...)

Things you can plainly see by clicking the video: race, but not height/weight. Good luck going through the world playing the role of white victim. Hope that gets you wherever it is exactly that you want to go.

C'mon aviator. Unless the article describes them as "white," "Asian" or "Hispanic," everyone can stick with their first assumption on the perp's race.

I mean August, Really? And you're just now posting this video and asking for help? How many other crimes do you think these 4 perps have committed since August? As for Aviator, he mentions that he could not open the video...therefore he wasn't sure the race...although Southwest Philly, its easy enough to assume...

Aviator meant there might be some viewing on a phone or other device that can't see the video. It's a criticism of news reporting that they always leave out race even though it should be reported in writing to be as accurate as possible.

the gun in the video is clearly not a tec-9 or any of it's derivatives. hard to tell but to me it looks like a smith and wesson .45 because of the silver piece on the slide cover.

I was thinking the same thing. You beat me to it. Not a tec 9, or ingram. Could be a SW, or Taurus, also.

Ha, we're looking at the wrong gun, I saw a different video (I think) of the same event. The guy in the BLUE shirt did point what looked like a tec 9 at somebody. It also looked like the gun had no magazine.
