Neumann-Goretti's Ja'Quan Newton and The Phelps School's Terry Larrier have been selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic regional game on April 18 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The regional game, with a 4:30 p.m. start, is a “City vs. Suburbs” showdown that will feature the top prep players from the area.
Newton, who is ticketed for Miami, averaged 21.6 points per game while leading the Saints to their sixth straight Catholic League championship and fourth PIAA Class AAA state title in five seasons.
Larrier, bound for Virginia Commonwealth, averaged 21 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game. He drilled 20 three-pointers.
