Malvern Prep's Jordan Majors, a senior strong safety, has committed to play football at Cornell.

"I really liked the interaction the coaches had with each other and the  players," said the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder, who took an official visit to the school last month. "It felt like a family."

Majors, who made five interceptions last season, also considered Princeton and Johns Hopkins.

The 18-year-old from Newtown Square earned first-team all-Inter-Ac League honors on defense while helping the Friars to an 8-2 mark. He doubled as a tight end.

Majors, projected to be safety or outside linebacker in Cornell's 3-4 scheme, plans to major in environmental engineering in college.

He will join Germantown Academy's Hayes Nolte, who passed for more than 1,700 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, in playing for the Big Red.
