Martin Luther King's Joseph Walker, an athletic and strong-armed quarterback, committed Wednesday night to play at Delaware.

"Delaware has been on my list for a while," the 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior said. "The only thing that held me back was waiting to see if anything else came up. But I couldn't I think of a better situation than Delaware for me."

This season, in leading the Cougars to a 10-3 record and the Public League Class AAA championship, Walker threw for 1,708 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The 17-year-old from Olney also had scholarship offers from Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Massachusetts, Stony Brook, and New Mexico.
