Football: Class on cusp of 5,000-yard mark

Mike Class, who earlier this season became Pennridge's all-time leading rusher, is set to join the 5,000-yard club.

Entering Friday night's Suburban One League Continental Conference game against Central Bucks East at Poppy Yoder Field,
the 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior has 4,981 career rushing yards.

Pennridge's Mike Class, a senior tailback, is on the verge of surpassing 5,000 rushing yards for his career. He gets a crack at that milestone when the Rams host Suburban One Continental Conference rival Central Bucks East at 7 p.m. Friday at Poppy Yoder Field.

In Week 2 this season, with 66 yards on 12 carries in a 37-6 nonleague romp over Bensalem, Class surpassed Ryan Greiser as the Rams' top all-time rusher. Greiser, who went on to play at Liberty, totaled 4,057 rushing yards in a career ending in 2004.
