Football C.R. North clobbers H-H, 56-26


No. 23-ranked Council Rock North struck for seven first-half scores, with two coming on blocked punts, and clobbered visiting Hatboro-Horsham, 56-26, in a nonleague football matchup Thursday at Walt Snyder Field in Newtown.

For the 3-0 Indians, sophomore quarterback Brandon McIlwain completed 5 of 8 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns.

Senior Dejuan Martin returned the game's opening kickoff 98 yards for a score, and added a 72-yard scoring reception in the second quarter.

The Hatters slipped to 2-1.
