Baseball: Schneider tabbed as N-G's skipper

Neumann-Goretti has announced Kevin Schneider, director of the Tri-State Arsenal program, as its new head baseball coach.

For Tri-State Arsenal, which is based in South Jersey, the former Monmouth relief pitcher is in charge of recruitment, promotion, and scheduling.

Schneider earned first-team New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) honors while at Monmouth. In 2005, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound righthander posted a team-best 0.74 ERA in 26 appearances.

The Princeton native played baseball and basketball at Lawrence High.

Schneider replaces Mike Zolk, who stepped down after two seasons at the helm.
