New York Giants running back native Da’Rel Scott will host his second annual free youth football clinic on June 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the “A Field” in Conshohocken.

Children 8 to 14 years of age will participate in non-contact drills on both offense and defense and learn the fundamentals of the game.

Scott, a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High, is a former member of the Conshy Bears youth football program. He went on to Maryland, where he currently ranks eighth all-time for career rushing yards (2,401) and is one of four players in school history to record over 2,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards.

“I’m happy to be hosting another camp here in my hometown,” Scott said in a release. “The feedback from last year’s clinic was amazing and it means a lot to me to share my journey with local kids and bring my home community together. You don’t need to be an experienced football player to join the clinic. The goal is for everyone to have fun and learn something new.”

Volunteer coaches will be on hand to run drills and activities while a guest DJ will provide entertainment for participants.

For more information on the camp, you can visit http://www.thefellowshiphouse.org

All participants must be registered in advance prior to attending the clinic.
