Football: East's Petrillo offered by Bryant

Downingtown East's Alec Petrillo, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound senior offensive guard and defensive tackle, has been offered a scholarship by Bryant University.

Petrillo, also a long snapper, has also received interest from Delaware, Massachusetts, Villanova, and William and Mary, among other schools. He has visited Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Temple.

Last season, while helping the Cougars to a 10-1 overall record and 6-0 mark in the Ches-Mont League National Conference, he earned Inquirer third-team all-Southeastern Pennsylvania honors on offense.

Petrillo is scheduled to visit Villanova Thursday. He was at Delaware over the weekend.
