Baseball: Zolk steps down as N-G coach

Citing "multiple reasons," Mike Zolk has stepped down as Neumann-Goretti's head baseball coach after two seasons.

Moving forward, Zolk said he would concentrate on his job as head hitting instructor at Sluggerville, a year-round baseball and softball training facility in Northeast Philly.

The Saints were ousted by District 11's Salisbury, 6-2, Tuesday afternoon in a PIAA Class AA first-round matchup at Ashburn Field in South Philly.
